Well I am so far behind in this Blog thing that I hardly know where to begin.
Mom died - Promoted to glory - I am amazed at the lack of grief I felt at her moving on to be with her Lord. Content and assured that she was indeed a christian and assured of a place in Heaven we rejoiced at her passing. Well I did.
Hazel visited us a short time before she died and took the old girl to the Spur and to the Milky Lane. We had a lot of fun. Hazel went back to St. Helena Island and we got on with life. One morning Mom just had one of her "turns" and did not recover, we helped her, noted that this was serious, called the ambulance, admitted her to Medi Clinic where she was put into ICU and a short time later she died. She was lucid and we held her hand and spoke to her about eternity and asked her if she was ready to meet her Lord. She smiled and nodded her head. Ready willing and Redeemed.

The funeral was a real celebration of knowing she was with her Lord, but the sermon was a hard hitting reminder to all present that one day, and perhaps soon, each one of us must die and stand before God to give an account for the deeds done in the flesh.
I will publish more pics here soon - the internet is playing up.
