Pain - horrible pain

Well the degenerative spondilosis has degenerated, and I have been in agony for about a week - off to the specialist in Bloemfontein tomorrow, and I know him well, he wants to operate. I will probably get a face lift while I am about it, then who knows what I will look like

Mothers is well

This was taken at church a short while ago - the mom is feeling much better but still starts the day like a 1920 model T ford  - as the day progresses she warms up and the joints unlock or something. She is still cleaning the Kitchen and helping make the food by peeling vegetables and so forth. Bless her for being one of the grandest moms eve to live on God's earth.
The Church is doing fine as well and the Men for the Master Saturday Bible study has grown to 10 men now - they are enthusiastic and love Jesus. It is so rewarding to see the spiritual growth in men and see a church coming awake to the Lord Jesus.
The Kindle has arrived and I love it - I have already read 2 books and tend to read more now that I have it than I ever did before. The big fonts make it possible for Mum to read the books too. Now to get her to actually use the thing.
I want to buy each of the men at Men  for the Master a kindle :) so if you have a spare R20000.00 lying around pass it over to me. :)

iGoogle

The Bible study is at the Rectory (35 Portia Street, Bedelia, Welkom)
This Wednesday we will be doing the first lesson on 1 Timothy using the Precept upon precept method. All are welcome to attend. The booklet costs R85.00 and there is about 10 to 15 minutes of homework for each day. I look forward to seeing you there

New Reselutions

Well here we go with a decision to keep you all more up to date on a more regular basis.
Men for the master is going at a right nice rate of knots - we now have ten chaps (all past their prime) who attend and love the meeting.
I have bought a kindle and expect to have it arrive this week. I want to try and get a kindle for each of the men at the Men for the Master meeting but will have to pray real hard for funds - as two of us already have one

Passover

We had our usual passover meal (Christ in the Passover) on Wednesday this time so that there was time to clean up before the Good Friday service. Once again it was a wonderful reminder of what Jesus did for us and the incredible symbolism of the passover, all pointing to Jesus and reminding of what it is all about - we forget so soon - no pics this time

The Mother's condition

We have a Boston Terrier now - this is not her and I am sure she would be just as upset if we dressed her like this - her name is Zippy - a lively little thing who likes to snuggle at night. Following is a picture of the Boston hugging the Patterdale (both terriers)

And then there is the mum in hospital - now out of hospital and looking much recovered, changed doctors and the new one seems so much more sensible

Be good all of you

March Moments

Granny Vanny - is in hospital at the moment - been there for 7 days now - her heart is attacking her but the reason for admission is what at first seemed a gall stone pain - very severe but it turned out to be Hiatus Hernia - she is week and we thunk she might die this time, but she seems to be recovering, or maybe not. Pray for her mental strength - she is very shaky in that area.
